RigWatch collects GPS location coordinates and signal data from sensors attached to tagged equipment and tools. This data is associated with the asset (tool or equipment) to which the sensor is attached — not with any individual person.
RigWatch is designed to track tools and equipment, not individuals. Sensors should be attached to equipment only. If sensors are placed on vehicles or equipment that are operated by specific individuals, clients are solely responsible for ensuring this complies with all applicable employment laws, privacy legislation, and labour agreements, and for obtaining any necessary consent from employees.
When you visit rigwatch.ca, we may collect standard web server log data including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising networks.

Location data and account information are stored on cloud servers located in Canada. We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss.
Location data is retained for the duration of your active subscription and for up to 90 days following cancellation, after which it is deleted. Account information is retained for a period required to satisfy legal and accounting obligations.
RigWatch uses a limited number of third-party service providers to operate the platform. These providers process data only as instructed by us and are bound by confidentiality obligations. Categories of providers include cloud hosting, SMS delivery, and domain services. We do not disclose the specific identity of our infrastructure providers as this constitutes confidential business information.
